TEAS Alternative

A Different Path to TEAS Preparation

There is a different path to TEAS preparation for prospective Associate degree students who are not yet ready to take the TEAS exam.

Students may enroll in an Associate in Liberal Arts degree program, an Associate in Health Sciences degree program, or a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences degree program and begin coursework in required general education courses and prepare for the TEAS. Once the student achieves the required score on the TEAS, they may apply to transfer into the Associate degree in Nursing program to continue their studies.

Please know that admittance into the Associate in Science degree program in the School of Liberal Arts or admittance into the Associate in Science degree program in the School of Health Sciences does not guarantee admission into the Associate in Nursing degree program in the School of Nursing. The School of Nursing maintains its own admissions standards and academic requirements. When a student transfers into the Associate in Nursing degree program, the School of Nursing conducts its own review of eligibility for acceptance.
