Motivated working adults applying for the new exam based AS in Business, BS in General Business, or BA in Liberal Studies, will get the support of a dedicated advisor, cutting edge open courseware, 24/7 library, free study guides and tutoring, practice exams, peer networking and much more. Assessment Based degree options are now available at a maximum cost of $10,000*. When you enroll as a student in this track, we guarantee that you won't pay more than $10,000 – and it may cost considerably less than that depending on the amount of college credit you may have already earned.

This innovative independent study program builds on Excelsior's tradition of recognizing your college credits from other institutions and providing you with a robust catalogue of Excelsior credit-bearing exams to complete a degree. This degree option allows you to:

• Finish your degree in up to five years.
• Prepare for each exam during a six-month window.
• Work with an individual academic advisor to determine the best path toward degree completion.
• Take credit-bearing exams at a convenient Pearson VUE Testing Center when you are ready.

 

* Enrollment in this program requires a degree to be earned in 5 years or less.
The total cost includes the application fee, enrollment fee, annual fees for each year a student is enrolled up to and including the 5th year, graduation fee, exam fee, information literacy requirement course (INL), and capstone course fees.

The cost does not include practice exams ($18-$75), textbooks, official transcripts, repeat fees for courses or exams, or administrative fees for payment plans, late fees, reactivation fees, or bad check fees.

This assessment based option is not eligible for Title IV financial aid.
