Changes to the Associate Degree in Nursing Program Requirements
Repeating nursing theory examinations
Effective September 1, 2015, nursing students may take a specific nursing theory examination a maximum of three times and no more than three times in a given year. All attempts, passes and failures, will apply to the three attempt testing limit. Failing the same nursing theory examination at the third administration will lead to academic dismissal from the program for enrolled students and denial of admission to the nursing program for prospective students.
If you have taken the same nursing theory examination three times, you have until August 31, 2015 to sit for that examination a fourth and final time. Failure to pass the exam on the fourth attempt will result in dismissal from the nursing program. Students with three failures of the same examination who do not take the examination by August 31, 2015 will be dismissed from the nursing program.
Students may repeat an examination 60 days after the first attempt and 120 days after the second and subsequent attempts.
