Bridgette decided to continue her college education with Excelsior since she had been working on her degree for a while. She chose Excelsior because “Excelsior College was referred to me by several people from work,” and the flexibility of course offerings fits into her life style. Bridgette states that “Excelsior is very military friendly. They took a lot of my military experience and applied it to my degree. After that, I only had eighteen credits left to earn and I did that online."
Involvement
Bridgette found that online conversations with lecturers and students was encouraged and realized. “Participation between instructor and students was frequent and informing. I could tell my professor was interacting with all of his students because he would refer one student to another."
Continuation
Bridgette has six and a half years until military retirement when she will move into human resources. She plans on earning her bachelor’s in human resource management through Excelsior College and possibly masters in psychology. Her ultimate goal is to become a human resource director.
Bridgette’s advice for others is, “You’re never finished learning. The further you go with your education, the further you can get in life. You can include education in everything you do.” Bridget is recommending Excelsior’s nursing programs to her friend.
