60 Arts and Sciences Credits, including:

Communications (must include 3-credit Written English Composition Requirement )

Social Science/History

Humanities and Social Sciences/History electives

Math (at the level of college algebra and above; must include Calculus I and II)

Natural Sciences (must include Chemistry with lab, Physics I-II with at least one lab, Atomic Physics, Nuclear Physics, Thermodynamics)

Arts and Sciences electives
48 Technology Credits, including the following courses (at least 16 upper level credits are required):
• Electrical Theory
• Plant Systems Overview
• Computer Applications
• Reactor Core Fundamentals
• Materials
• Fluids
• Nuclear Materials
• Heat Transfer
• Health Physics/Radiation Protection
• Integrated Technology assessment (Capstone)
• Radiation Measurement Lab

Note: The BS in Nuclear Engineering Technology Degree requires five laboratories:
