Excelsior College Scholarships

Complete the 2014-2015 Free Application for Federal Student Aid form (FAFSA) to apply for an Excelsior College Scholarship. Our School Code is 014251.

Once your completed FAFSA form has been processed, you will be considered for a scholarship. Email our financial aid office at VAFA@excelsior.edu if you are not able to complete the FAFSA.

Scholarship Periods

Murray and Estelle Block Scholarship Endowment Fund Scholarships for financially needy students, with preference given to students in Excelsior's School of Business and Technology.
Partners in Lifelong Learning Scholarship Scholarships for enrolled students who demonstrate financial need and live in New York State, with preference given to those in the Capital Region.
Pastor Angelina Robles Lopez Scholarship Fund Scholarships for financially needy enrolled and future students who wish to achieve their educational goals and dreams.
President's Scholarship Scholarships for financially needy students, both enrolled and prospective.
Summo Endowment Fund Scholarships for financially needy enrolled and future students; recipients must be at least 30 years of age and be U.S. citizens; although U.S. military personnel should not be excluded, preference will be given to those who do not have other educational benefits available to them.
The Associate Degree in Nursing Scholarship Scholarships for students enrolled in associate in science nursing and associate in applied science in nursing degree who demonstrate financial need.

David W. Miller Memorial Scholarship Fund Scholarships for business and liberal arts students at least halfway through their degree programs, without outside affiliations resulting in educational support.
Dr. Jane LeClair '94, '95 Scholarship Fund for Women in Technology Scholarships for women entering or continuing in any of Excelsior's programs in technology within the School of Business & Technology.
Entrepreneur: Business & Technology Fund Scholarships for students enrolled in Excelsior's Business and Technology program who are or who plan to become entrepreneurs.
Lois G. and William T. Moran Scholarship Endowment Fund Scholarships for financially needy enrolled students in Excelsior's associate degree in nursing programs.
Murray and Estelle Block Scholarship Endowment Fund Scholarships for financially needy students, with preference given to students in Excelsior's School of Business and Technology.
Richard and Barbara Reeves-Ellington Scholarship Fund

Scholarships for students pursuing baccalaureate degree in Cultural Studies who will pursue leadership roles that address gender issues and issues central to Middle Eastern and Central Asian Culture.

The requirement is to write a short statement - one page or a couple of paragraphs - to respond to the donor's desire to help someone who is interested in working to address gender issues central to Middle Eastern and Central Asian Culture. Although you may be unclear on how you would work on these issues, your statement could refer to your desire to promote better understanding of gender issues and that you would also like to encourage a cultural of inclusion of all peoples, regardless of ethnicity, race, or country of origin, including those from the Middle East and Central Asia. Another approach would be to speak about the treatment of women and girls and lack of opportunity for them in these cultures. If you see that you might try to take a leadership role in working on gender equity or diversity and inclusion, please mention it in the statement.

Vivian Runyon Memorial Scholarship Fund Scholarships for students enrolled in the Excelsior College School of Liberal Arts, with priority given to enlisted, active duty personnel in the U.S. Armed Services.

 

 

Julia O. Wells Memorial Education Foundation Scholarship Scholarships for registered nurses in New York State enrolled in bachelor of science in nursing, RN to master of science, and master of science in nursing programs.
Roy L. Simpson Endowment Fund for Nursing Informatics Scholarships for students working toward the Certificate in Health Care Informatics or the Master of Science in nursing degree with an emphasis in Informatics.
The Associate Degree in Nursing Scholarship Scholarships for students enrolled in associate in science nursing and associate in applied science in nursing degree who demonstrate financial need.

 

 

Brigadier General Jerry L. and Judy A. Neff Scholarship Fund Scholarships for students who are members of the United States Army National Guard or the United Sates Air National Guard with financial need.
Elizabeth Margaret Ann Jaunal (nee Davidson) Memorial Scholarship Fund Scholarships for serving members of any branch of the armed forces of the United States of America or Canada, including national guard or reserve units, any honorably discharged veteran of such service, and any spouse or child of any such person, with priority given to any applicant that is an actively serving member or a veteran of the United States Marine Corps who are pursuing a course of study leading to an associate or bachelor degree at Excelsior College that will be the first of such particular level of undergraduate degree earned by applicant.
Excelsior College Veterans Endowment Fund Scholarships for veterans of the United States military to support  programs and services, including but not limited to scholarship support.
Lieutenant General Joseph S. and Anita L. Laposata Scholarship Fund for Military Enlisted and Their Spouses Scholarships for financially needy students who are enlisted in the United States military and their spouses.
Master Sergeant David K. Thuma Memorial Scholarship Fund 

Scholarships for students who are members of the United States Army Special Forces, Career Management Field (CMF) 18 or to Command Sergeants Major (CMF 00Z) of the Special Forces who hold a secondary MOS in CMF 18.

Military Financial Assistance Endowment Fund Scholarships for servicemembers and their families as they engage in study at Excelsior College.
Military Spouse Scholarship Supports both prospective and enrolled students who are spouses of active duty members.
Please fax a copy of your current Military Spouse ID Card to the Financial Aid Office, 518-464-8660. If you are receiving Post-9/11 benefits at 100% you are not eligible for this scholarship. Please also complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) application. School code is 014251. If you have an ID card on file already please be sure it is active and not expired.
The Honorable Bryanne Hamill Scholarship Fund Scholarships for financially needy students who are on active duty in the United States military or are veterans of U.S. military service..
Vivian Runyon Memorial Scholarship Fund Scholarships for students enrolled in the Excelsior College School of Liberal Arts. In honoring the donors' wishes, enlisted, active duty personnel in the U.S. Armed Services will be given the highest priority.
