Nursing Tuition and Fees

Excelsior College offers affordable nursing degrees that are designed to fit within a working adult's budget.

Tuition and fees vary depending on the degree level; use the tabs below to find costs for your degree program. Financial aid and other cost-saving resources are available for nursing students at all degree levels. Review these options below the degree tabs.

For the exam-based associate degrees, tuition is charged on a per-exam basis. Standard fees apply for application, enrollment, student services, and graduation.

1. Application: Preliminary review of transcripts and training credits. Review includes projected outline of remaining degree requirements. $80
2. Enrollment: Official evaluation of transfer credits, academic advisement, and academic program planning for the first year. $1,015
3. Nursing Theory Exams: Six exams are required. Visit our CPNE pages for details about the required nursing exams. $305
4. Focused Clinical Competencies Assessment $330
5. Clinical Performance in Nursing Examination $2,145
6. Annual student services fee: Library services, academic advising, evaluation of transfer credit, and academic program planning. $485
7. Graduation: Final review and processing of student records for degree conferral and issuance of diploma. $495

For all undergraduate courses taken as part of the RN to MS in Nursing degree, Excelsior offers two enrollment options: the Excelsior Course Option, cost-optimized for students who need at least 12 credits to graduate, and a Multi-Source Option that's designed for students who need to take fewer than 12 Excelsior credits. If you earned your bachelor's degree from Excelsior College, the $100 graduate application fee is waived.

Payment Plans

Excelsior College offers payment plans to help working adults fit education costs comfortably within a household budget. You can pay tuition and/or fees in monthly installments, rather than in a lump sum. Payment plans are available.
