Marine Corps

“In the infantry, it was difficult to pursue a degree with deployment and training. With Excelsior, I was able to take classes and have a life at the same time. I didn’t have to take classes from other colleges because of the expanded offerings of online courses at Excelsior.” — Dennis F. Stieber, Master Gunnery Sgt.

Financial Aid

The Center for Military Education offers customized benefits and programs for U.S. Marines. That's one of many reasons the Marine Corps Academic Explorer program (AeX) named Excelsior College a school of choice.

Excelsior's faculty and staff are accessible, knowledgeable, and fully committed to your success. Excelsior College offers degree programs in more than 30 disciplines, with military-friendly benefits that include:

  • Convenient online and CD-ROM course formats. Complete courses from any location during training, deployment, and/or the transition back to civilian life. (Only business courses are available in CD-ROM format.)
  • Military-friendly transfer policies. Get maximum academic credit for Marine Corps training and education, so you can complete your degree more quickly.
  • Military Tuition Assistance. TA may cover up to 100 percent of your costs, and Excelsior waives enrollment, administration, and graduation fees for servicemembers.
  • “Success Strategies.” This award-winning course helps you turn Marine Corps experience into a rewarding career.
  • Accessible, specialized academic support. We offer military-only advisors, free tutoring, writing support, and career development services.

Here are 10 benefits for U.S. Marines at Excelsior College.

Marine Corps Distance Learning Partnership
