Excelsior College offers highly respected college certificate and degree programs and distance learning courses to military spouses and family members. Maximum transfer of credit, credit for approved military training, and flexibility in degree completion all add up to a winning strategy for earning your degree no matter where you support our military forces.

Degree Programs

Apply for Admission

If you are applying to any of the following programs, you must first apply for admission to Excelsior College:

  • Associate in Applied Science in Nursing
  • Associate in Science in Nursing
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing

For all other programs you may be able to skip this step and enroll directly in a program if the following applies to you:

  • You have received a preliminary review by an Excelsior Military Admissions Counselor, Excelsior Military Academic Advisor, or approved Military Consultant

Does Excelsior College offer scholarships to military and family members?

Military personnel and family members are eligible for all scholarships that are available to Excelsior College students. For further information, visit our Financial Aid page or email the Financial Aid office at finaid@excelsior.edu. Military spouse scholarship programs are available.

How are Excelsior College courses delivered?

Two types of distance learning course formats are available:

  • Instructor-led CD-ROM-based courses
  • Online courses

Can I start my program at any time?

Excelsior College has continuous enrollment, and our flexibly-scheduled distance learning courses begin every other month throughout the year. CD-ROM and online courses are offered in 8 week and 15 week terms. Review our course dates and deadlines and course search page for detailed information. Please contact an academic advisor for course approval to be sure the course(s) you choose will apply toward your remaining degree requirements.
