Health Sciences - Certificate in Informatics FAQ

The graduate Certificate in Health Care Informatics helps the professional build and develop new skills in the field of informatics and technology. Growing shortages in health care professions have placed demands on health care systems to deliver care more efficiently and effectively. Informatics positions in health care agencies and in consulting corporations have expanded accordingly to meet these needs. As part of the learning experience the student will have the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the current health care informatics climate, develop and evaluate a database in response to a specific health care need, apply project management skills in developing a group project, participate as a team member developing and evaluating information systems, and evaluate current issues and challenges in the field.
