Though information is available on our general pages, in order to access specific resources and services on the Excelsior College Web site, you must create a free user account. Starting at the Excelsior College homepage, click on the Log in to MyExcelsior button, then click on Create a MyExcelsior User Account.
Click the Log in to MyExcelsior link at the top right of any page, and then click on Create a Free MyExcelsior User Account. You will be asked to enter your contact information on the initial screen. Please make sure to read and accept the Academic Honesty and Electronic Use policies.
For security reasons, you may be asked to verify your account by entering your date of birth and either the last four digits of your Social Security number or Student ID number.
The next screen will ask you to choose a username and password for the site. You will also be able to select and answer a security question. Complete your interest information and click to complete registration. This will establish and activate your user account.

To use the Excelsior College Web site, Blackboard, and other online tools, you will need a variety of up-to-date software packages on your computer. Many of these are free to download and update, while others may require you to purchase them. For a full list of the software necessary, visit the Recommended Software page.

While every course is different, and may require specific software such as a statistical analysis program or a project management tool, all courses require that you have Microsoft Word installed on your computer.
You can check to see if your computer settings are compatible with Excelsior College by running a System Check. The System Check application will report back to you if your computer is properly configured to work with the Excelsior College Web site and other programs.

To change the name listed on your student account, please contact the Records Office by calling toll free: 1-888-647-2388, extension 141.
Before any changes to your account information are displayed, the information is verified by our Records Office. Should you wish to update your account information immediately, please contact the Records Office directly by calling toll free: 1-888-647-2388, extension 141.
To change your contact information, sign into your My Excelsior account, go to My Student Account tab and click on the link for My Personal Profile. You will be able to update your permanent and mailing addresses, phone numbers, as well as email address.
