Jack M. Lafield, a leader in the energy industry, is chairman and CEO of Caiman Energy II LLC, an independent midstream company that provides the infrastructure and services necessary to move natural gas products from the wellhead to market. Previously, Lafield served for more than eight years as executive vice president of corporate development for the Crosstex Energy companies.
Prior to joining Crosstex, Lafield spent five years consulting with various equity groups and international exploration companies to assist them in all phases of acquiring, building, owning, and operating midstream assets. He worked with HM Capital and Triton Energy, an international exploration and production company. LaField also founded and served as president and CEO of Triumph Natural Gas.
Earlier in his career, Lafield served as president and COO of Nagasco Inc.; senior vice president of Lear Petroleum and president of its midstream subsidiary, Producers Gas Company; and director of gas supply and later as mid-continent manager for Texas Oil and Gas and its midstream subsidiary, Delhi Gas Pipeline. Lafield began his career in 1972 as an operations engineer for Atlantic Richfield Company.
Lafield earned a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University and is a graduate of the Executive Program at Stanford University. He is a member of the Gas Processors Association, the Dallas Petroleum Club, and the North Texas Natural Gas and Power Association. A member and past chairman of the Texas Intrastate Pipeline Association, he serves on the advisory board of the Dwight Look College of Engineering at Texas A&M University and the board of directors for Goodwill Industries of Dallas.
