Procedures for Navy Sailors Awaiting Navy Tuition Assistance Approval

Registration for Excelsior Courses for the May 2013 Term

Excelsior College has implemented procedures that will enable navy sailors to register for our courses while they await Navy Tuition Assistance (TA) approval for the upcoming course term that begins May 6.

When you are ready to register for courses:

1. Contact the Center for Military Education, by calling 888-647-2388 ext. 1351 or email military@excelsior.edu
    
2. You will need to provide:
   • Name
   • Student ID#
   • Course number and title
   • Format (online or CD-ROM)
3. Excelsior College will assign you a unique temporary TA control number for a one time use for the May term and will set up the account as a third-party bill using TA.
    
4. Once the Navy approves Tuition Assistance, you must send your approved TA form to milta@excelsior.edu or fax to 518-608-8135. The TA must contain:
   • The correct course number
   • Title
   • Credits
   • Correct start and end dates - May 6 to June 30, 2013  for the eight week term and May 6 to August 18, 2013 for the 15 week term

Note: If the TA Approval is not received or if TA is not approved at 100%, you have until May 24, 2013 to cancel with no financial or academic penalty. You will be billed and placed on a financial hold until the tuition is paid in full. If you cancel by May 24 no further payment is due.
