Project LEARN (Learning, Experience, Assessment, Resources, and Networking)

Excelsior College collaborates with hospitals, teaching institutions, and health care agencies to improve their employees’ access to nursing degrees through Project LEARN (Learning, Experience, Assessment, Resources, and Networking).

How It Works

  • Our Project LEARN team of nurse instructors, academic advisors, and support staff develop and provide learning resources and services for program participants.
  • The partner institution designates an on-site director to coordinate their program with Excelsior College and to be the on-site contact for their student participants.
  • Our Project LEARN Team and the partner on-site directors work together to support project participants as they pursue their associate, bachelor’s, RN to MSN, or master’s degrees in nursing.
  • A minimum of 10-15 students are needed for each Project LEARN program.

Cost

The contract fee is based on the number of participants in each degree category. Contact us for details.

  • Quarterly Project LEARN program updates and student progress reports
  • Study guide for the Excelsior College Clinical Performance in Nursing Examination (CPNE®)
  • Study guide for the Excelsior College Focused Clinical Competencies Assessment (FCCA®)
  • Content guides for the Excelsior College nursing theory examinations
  • Program orientation, including a project director training manual
  • On-site open forums about Excelsior College nursing programs

AS Nursing Students

  • One-on-one advising and pre-enrollment assessments from Excelsior College
  • Local colleges and individual course assessment and approval for credit
  • Content guides for the Excelsior College nursing theory examinations
  • Free online conference for Transition to the Registered Professional Nurse Role
  • One free practice examination for Transition to the Registered Professional Nurse Role

BS Nursing Students

  • Preferred partnership available: substantially-reduced fees and tuition for students completing at least 6 credits per year
  • Individual program plans for each student, modified quarterly, minimally
  • One-on-one advising and pre-enrollment assessments from Excelsior

BS-MS and MS Nursing Students

  • Application fee waived
  • Individual program plans for each student, modified quarterly, minimally
  • One-on-one advising and pre-enrollment assessments from Excelsior
