  • Introduction to Philosophy such as:
    • PHIX 101 Introduction to Philosophy exam
    • PHIL 200 Introduction to Philosophy (available after May 2013)
  • Ethics such as:
    • COMM 335 Communication Ethics
    • HUM 300 Ethics
    • PHIX 310 Ethics Theory and Practice exam
  • Research and Writing in the Major such as:
    • LA 496 Research and Writing in Liberal Arts
  • Humanities Capstone

    The Humanities major requires the completion of the Excelsior College capstone course (LA 498HU Humanities Capstone), with a grade of C or better.

  • Survey course in communication studies such as
    • COMM 120 Foundations of Communication
  • Additional credits in Communication Studies (minimum 5 courses). Applied professional credit for internships, practicums, independent study, and coursework in the profession may apply to the concentration upon advisor approval. Courses such as:

Minimum of 120 credits: 60 credits (21 in upper level) in arts and sciences and 60 credits (9 in upper level) in applied professional courses, additional arts and sciences courses or a combination of both.
