Registering for Exams
Follow the Excelsior College® Examinations (ECEs) or UExcel® registration process that pertains to you.
Before you go further, sign up for a MyExcelsior account if you don't already have one.
Download Exam Content Guides, the User's Guide, and the Technical Handbook for ECEs from our Exam Content Guides and Documentation page.
You can register and pay for your exam online. After you register, you will receive an Authorization To Test (ATT) letter. You will have six months from the date of that letter to schedule and take your exam at the Pearson VUE Test Center of your choice.
Note for military exam candidates: DANTES funding for ECEs is no longer available as of September 30, 2011.
Please contact your local education office to determine whether Tuition Assistance or other military education benefits can be used to pay for ECEs or UExcel examinations.
Practice Exams for ECEs
Practice exams offer valuable feedback on your study progress and familiarize you with the testing process, increasing your chances for a better grade. We offer online practice exams for many of the credit-bearing exams. You may register for a practice exam after registering for its corresponding credit-bearing exam.
Excelsior College Examinations are administered internationally at select Pearson VUE Test Centers. You need not be an enrolled student in an Excelsior College degree program (unless you are pursuing an associate degree in nursing) to take an examination at a Pearson VUE Test Center.
Exam registration and scheduling instructions are on UExcel’s Registration page.
Practice exam information is on UExcel’s Practice Exams page.
