Chapter President

Kerry McCormick

Growing up in New York City prepared Kerry McCormick for whatever life could possibly throw at her. She began her journey in human resources as an assistant in the human resource department in a general contracting company. It was here that she knew that this was the career path for her. Following her time in the construction company an opportunity presented itself to become a partner in a local recreational sports business where she would hone her skills for about twelve years. Unfortunately sports leagues are dwindling, and seeing the writing on the wall Kerry made a career move into hospitality management. While she was working as a bar manager she was hurt on the job leading to four years of surgeries and a new medical condition. During this time she completed her degree in human resources management with a 3.66 GPA and looks forward to completing her Master of Science in Human Resources Management.

On a personal note, Kerry lives with her boyfriend of 14 years. She enjoys being outside, reading, and taking Pilates classes. She has family in Naples, Florida and she enjoys escaping the harsh New York winters to visit them whenever she can.
