author of Defiant Failed State: The North Korean Threat to International Security

Join fellow alumni, students, and guests at our kickoff event featuring former intelligence officer and associate professor of political science at Angelo State University, Dr. Bruce E. Bechtol, Jr. ’94.

Dr. Bechtol will discuss findings from his recent book, North Korea: Defiant Failed State. North Korea appears economically weak and politically unstable and often is categorized as a state on the brink of collapse–a failed state. Has the American government has under prioritized the North Korean threat to global security?

In addition to Dr. Bechtol's presentation, the event will include light refreshments and a networking reception.
