LT Shannon McMillan, AS '07, BA '09 “Excelsior College has opened doors that I didn't realized existed. Since earning my degree from EC I have been afforded endless opportunities in my Naval career including the opportunity to command a naval vessel at sea. My status in now unrestricted. I was just selected for promotion to the next pay grade, (Lieutenant Commander /04), all made possible because Excelsior afforded me the opportunity to obtain my degree while stationed out of the country on assignment. Being a small town boy from South Carolina these were only dreams; Excelsior helped me to make them a reality. My desire as a member to the Alumni Advisory Board is to serve EC and its alumni with innovative ways to promote the fine institution that is our bedrock. I'm proud of my accomplishments but I am even more proud to be affiliated with a stellar group who truly believe in the promotion of our school and our community.
