|A note about Windows Operating Systems: |
As of July 11, 2006, Microsoft announced that it will no longer support or provide security updates for the Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, or Windows ME operating systems. Microsoft also ended support of Windows XP Service Pack 1 on October 10, 2006. Microsoft has determined that these systems are outdated and could potentially expose customers to security risks; therefore, the Excelsior College minimum computer system requirements have been updated to reflect this change. Please note that in order to receive technical support from Excelsior College, you must meet our minimum system requirements.

Web browsers listed under the "Browser" sections above have been tested extensively and are validated for use with our Web site. Browsers not shown in this chart (i.e. AOL, Opera) may not work with our Web site; it is strongly recommended that you use a supported browser. In order to receive technical support from Excelsior College, you must meet our system requirements.
Update Java Software
You will need to have Java software installed in order for certain areas of the courseware system to function properly. Visit the General Questions to learn more about the Java software.
To install this software, visit the Java Web site and click on Download J2SE JRE. (Note: Be sure to select the JRE version of the software). You will be prompted to accept the license agreement, then follow the instructions to download and install the software.
For Mac OS X, download and install the latest version of Java for Mac OS X. To determine if your course supports the use of a Mac, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
