Center for Professional Development

Excelsior College offers a number of online professional development and career training programs designed to meet the demands of our ever-changing society. All programs are offered completely online and can be taken anytime, anywhere. These non-credit training programs are geared for those looking for professional development, continuing education, and lifelong learning.

The Center offers two types of training programs to help meet your needs.

Career Training Programs

Designed to provide the skills necessary to enter a new field or advance in your current position, these instructor-led certificate programs are offered in high-demand fields including Business, Technology & Design, Sustainable & Green Energy, Healthcare, and Education.  Programs can be completed within 3 - 6 months and many have been approved for VA benefits.

Short Courses

These comprehensive online courses are designed to teach valuable specialized skills in a convenient six-week format.  Courses are offered monthly and at a special discounted price.  View the full Short Courses Catalog.  Please note that these programs are not eligible for military benefits.
