Robert B. Reich
Economic analyst, noted author and former presidential advisor Robert B. Reich will address graduates at Excelsior College’s 41st Commencement on Friday, July 13.
Reich has served in three national administrations, most recently as secretary of labor under President Bill Clinton. He also served on President-Elect Obama’s transition advisory board. He has written 14 books, including The Work of Nations, which has been translated into 22 languages; the best-sellers Locked in the Cabinet and The Future of Success, which in 2002 was ranked by BusinessWeek magazine as the #2 best-selling business book. He has written more than 200 articles on the global economy, the changing nature of work and the centrality of human capital. Reich also writes a weekly, nationally syndicated column that focuses on the economy and appears in papers ranging from the San Francisco Chronicle to The Kansas City Star. He is a consultant to many governments and corporations.
Reich is co-founding editor of The American Prospect magazine. His commentaries can be heard weekly on public radio’s “Marketplace.” His columns appear
