Deborah Onslow

A recognized leader in the non-profit community, Deborah Onslow lends her talents to a variety of nonprofit organizations as a consultant. She was most recently chief executive officer at The CNSE Children's Museum of Science and Technology (CNSE CMOST) in Troy, N.Y.

Onslow was also the interim president of The Arts Center of the Capital Region where she nurtured new partnerships, donor relationships and led the search for the permanent CEO. Previously, she was the president and general manager of WMHT Public Telecommunications, a position she held for nearly seven years.

She earned a master of public administration from State University of New York College at Brockport.

Times Union

As the region's leading media organization, the Times Union is deeply embedded in the community. Its commitment to reporting the news fairly and independently, sponsoring local events and supporting local businesses helps to strengthen the area and make it a better place for all to work and live.

Each year, it sponsors hundreds of non-profit organizations throughout the Capital District area in disciplines of culture, health and human services, youth, environment, economic development and education.

Its Newspapers in Education Program, Classroom Enrichment, provides educators with real world teaching content and helps students understand the world around them.

Events such as The Home Show, job fairs, bridal shows, The Jefferson Awards, Women@Work and HealthyLife seminars and Harvestfest bring people together and further reinforce what it has to offer.

Times Union has made a major investment in the business that speaks of its confidence in the growth trend of the community. The installation of a new press in its Colonie headquarters has given the newspaper a fresh new look and established the Times Union as a commercial partner of other enterprises seeking high-quality printing. While other newspaper companies are curtailing service to a few days a week or stopping publication, the Times Union sees a bright future as the community's key provider of news and information on multiple platforms, including print.

The Times Union is part of Hearst Corporation, one of the world's leading media companies. In the Capital Region, its suite of products extends beyond the daily newspaper, to include seven magazines, the region's leading Web site, a mobile site and a tablet platform. Its digital media platforms, Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing help local businesses get found on the web.

All this makes the Times Union a valuable resource for the growing and diverse needs of the Capital Region's business community.
