Student Support at a Glance
Gain knowledge and expertise while expanding your opportunities. That's what college is about after all. It's also about the people that you meet – your classmates, your instructors, your advisors. Even though Excelsior College is an online and distance learning institution, that doesn't mean you are on your own without a dedicated community to support you.
Our ever-growing innovative services are focused to your needs, whether you are a working parent, active military, or part-time student. Our entire community of experts, faculty, staff, students, and alumni are here to support you from your first course through commencement.
Valuable resources for everyone
You don't need to be an enrolled student to benefit from tools, resources and service to help you make decisions, polish your writing, find military and veteran opportunities, support your career questions, and much more.
Taking a course or exam
Once registered for a course or exam, you'll have access to free tutoring, our extensive 24/7 library, online writing lab, bookstore, disability accommodations, and a slew of comprehensive exam resources.
Enrolled in a program
Once you are enrolled in a degree program, a dedicated advisor will help you map a personalized academic plan. Students access everything already mentioned such as the bookstore, 24/7 library, tech support, writing lab, study guides, etc PLUS free grammar checking, job search and career counseling services, and MyExcelsior Community which offers chat rooms, discussion boards, a book exchange, study buddy finder, mentoring, and much more.
An Excelsior graduate
With a vibrant alumni community, Excelsior supports you well beyond the completion of your degree. Our alumni are active all over the country and the world, participating in workshops and conferences, providing networking and career opportunities, and offering continual support.
Are you an educator interested in teaching smart, dedicated adult students? Excelsior faculty members are a diverse, eclectic community of skilled professionals and academics using the latest technologies to reach a wide audience of non-traditional and under-served students. Once teaching, you'll have access to a expansive faculty support center.
