We can accept up to 105 of your students' previously earned credits, so they'll take—and pay for—fewer Excelsior courses and credits as they complete their bachelor's degree. Many of our transfer students only need to take a handful of courses from Excelsior to graduate.

Excelsior's financial aid advisors will work with your students to obtain all the forms of support they're eligible for, including grants, loans, scholarships, and GI Bill tuition assistance. We also offer flexible payment plans and budgeting assistance to help keep their education affordable.

About Excelsior College

Accredited, Private, Nonprofit

Excelsior College—a Middle States accredited, private, nonprofit institution—is nontraditional in all the best ways. For more than 40 years, our innovative model has helped adult students achieve traditional markers of success:

  • Advanced degrees
  • Better career prospects
  • Higher earning potential
  • More rewarding lives

Few working adults can fit a traditional college experience into a schedule that's already jam-packed with family, work, and community responsibilities. Excelsior College addresses those challenges with a computer-based classroom model that lets students take courses where and when it makes sense for them.

Our Center for Educational Measurement offers credit by exam for students who want to transfer college level credit either to your or our college by passing one of our proficiency exams. All Excelsior College Exams (ECEs) and UExcel exams have been evaluated and recommended for college credit by the American Council on Education College Credit Recommendation Service. Our exams help students fulfill course requirements, prerequisites, and save money. Colleges often use our exams to help alleviate overcrowded classrooms or limited schedules by offering students the option to fulfill general education requirements by exam. Excelsior College offers materials to help students prepare for the exams and all exams are given at secure Pearson testing centers across the globe. Visit our Credit by Exam section for a comprehensive list of exams and more information.

More than 146,000 working adults have graduated from Excelsior College. We empower students to create their own educational opportunities, achieve their goals, and improve their lives.
