Excelsior gives students many options for earning the credits they need to complete a degree or certificate program. Students can take our online courses, obtain credit by exam through UExcel®, apply for credit for real-life experiences/training using CAEL, receive credit for military training, or take courses elsewhere and transfer them into Excelsior.
In order to receive the partnership tuition and fee pricing, you must be an employee, or a spouse or domestic partner of one of Excelsior's partners.
*Partnership students must take a minimum of twelve (12) online course credits to be eligible for our partner pricing.
To receive partnership pricing, inform Excelsior's admissions team that you are with a partner and indicate your partner name on the admission application.
Partnership students looking to earn their undergraduate or graduate degree will follow a three-step process: Apply, Enroll/Matriculate, Register. To begin this process, visit corporate.excelsior.edu, choose the appropriate partner, and continue onto the next steps to begin the application process.
*Please note that for certificate programs, students will only follow a two-step process (Apply and Register).
There is no application deadline. Excelsior College accepts applications throughout the year for its 8- and 15-week terms; however, a processed application will expire one year from the date it was completed.
You may enroll (matriculate) as soon as the application process has been completed and you have been admitted. Enrollments are typically processed within 24–48 hours of receipt. After enrollment, academic advisors will be able to answer your questions, assist you with course selection, and provide you with course approval. You will be able to register for the next available course term as soon as you are ready!
Excelsior College may accept up to 117 college credits toward a bachelor's or 57 college credits toward an associate degree. Credits from regionally accredited institutions as well as other approved sources (certifications, ACE-approved exams, military training, and portfolio assessments of real-world experience) may count toward degree or certificate completion. A review and evaluation of your previously earned credits will be conducted after your application for admission is accepted. The number of credits accepted toward the completion of a master's degree will vary based on the graduate program selected and type of credits submitted for transfer.
