Tips for Keeping Organized

  • Streamline activities.
  • Say “no” to committees, overtime, volunteer activities, and the like.
  • Delegate home responsibilities—let everyone pitch in: A brief hiatus from your activities may give you a fresh focus, some much needed rest and provide someone else an opportunity to enhance their skills.
  • Involve others in your planning.
  • Remember your goals.
  • Schedule breaks and rewards.
  • Implement stress busters:
    • Prayer and meditation
    • Walking, jogging, biking, yoga
    • Listening to relaxing music
    • Healthy foods
    • Adequate sleep
    • Practice self-discipline
    • Positive attitude
  • Surround yourself with positive, supportive people.
  • Check off as you complete tasks, assignments, reach goals, etc.
  • Tips for online learning:
    • Organize your computer for course materials (create folders).
