About Lisa Daniels
Lisa came to Excelsior College in 2006 as a research associate, and has since served as Assistant Director of Outcomes Assessment, Director of Institutional Research, and Assistant Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness. Currently, as Assistant Vice President for Analytics and Decision Support, she leads the merged business intelligence, analytics, and institutional effectiveness functions and supervises staff in multiple working teams: Business Intelligence, Statistics/Evaluation, General Analysis, Reporting/Surveys, Outcomes Assessment, and the federally funded DAACS project.
Outside of the College, Lisa has served as a representative of Excelsior to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, on their Voluntary Metrics Initiative and Personalized Learning Network projects, and led the College’s participation in the Predictive Analytics Reporting (PAR) framework. She has presented nationally and internationally on analytics and the use of data to support decision making.
Prior to coming to Excelsior, Lisa conducted research in higher education, including statistical analyses and modeling of faculty and staff salaries, and taught classes at the University at Albany in the areas of statistics and social psychology.
