Dwayn Hanford

Dwayn Hanford serves as the analytical control element (ACE) chief in the U.S. Army Information Operations Center at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. He leads more than 40 analysts in the production and dissemination of intelligence support to Information Operations. He is a retired Army chief warrant officer 4, with 23 years of experience as an all-source intelligence analyst. During his service, he received many awards, including the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medals, and Joint Service Commendation Medals. His campaigns include Desert Storm, Operation Joint Endeavor, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Hanford has been an active volunteer for many years and has shared his time and talents with various organizations, including the Boy Scouts of America and Little League of America. He has contributed a significant amount of his volunteer time to Excelsior College, serving on the Alumni Association’s Alumni Leadership Council (ALC) since 2012 and having been president of the Alumni Association. He is an Excelsior faculty member in the BS in National Security program and a part-time faculty member at American Military University in the Intelligence Studies program. He was the recipient of the 2010 Excelsior College C. Wayne Williams Award in recognition of outstanding public service and community involvement. Hanford earned an Associate of General Studies, Anne Arundel Community College; BS in Liberal Arts, Excelsior College; BS in Strategic Intelligence, Joint Military Intelligence College; BA in History, University of Maryland University College; MS in Strategic Intelligence, National Defense Intelligence College; MS in Management in the Intelligence Community, University of Maryland University College; Master of Distance Education and E-Learning, University of Maryland University College; current doctoral candidate in Regent University’s Organizational Leadership PhD Program.
