Edgar Montalvo

Edgar Montalvo is president and CEO of Kirkuk Global LLC, an international business and project management consulting firm, and has more than 30 years of business, construction management, finance, and accounting experience. He is a PMI-certified project management professional. Montalvo is a retired lieutenant colonel with the Army Corps of Engineers, serving more than 31 years in the Army Reserves, including two tours in Iraq. While in the Army Corps, Montalvo taught and mentored Iraqi engineers in construction management, project site safety, public infrastructure assessments, and urban master planning. Montalvo’s previous roles include a controller with Palladian Development in Chicago, an accounting manager with Computershare Document Service in Burr Ridge, Illinois, a senior financial manager with Bradson Corporation in Arlington, Virginia, and a cash analyst with the Peoples Energy Corporation in Chicago. Among his community service activities are his many years of service to the Boy Scouts of America, as a volunteer for the Midwest BBQ for the Brave, and as a commissioner for the Frankfort Square Park District, and on the Village of Tinley Park’s Economic and Commercial Commission. As an alumni ambassador, he has represented Excelsior College at corporate college fairs in his home state of Illinois. He has been a member of the Alumni Leadership Council since 2016. Montalvo earned a BS in Liberal Arts, Excelsior College; Master of Civil Engineering, Norwich University; MBA, University of Chicago.
