Gina Rinder

Gina Rinder is a criminal justice instructor for a concurrent enrollment program at Cherry Creek School District and Community Colleges of Aurora, Colorado. She has worked as a group leader/ tutor for the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region, a paraprofessional and licensed substitute teacher for Harrison School District 2, and a community service officer and code enforcement officer with the Colorado Springs Police Department. Rinder has served her community as a volunteer victim advocate with TESSA of Colorado Springs, and as a member of the Senior Victims Assistance Team with the Colorado Springs Police Department. She is a member of the Global Society of Homeland and National Security Professionals, a member of Sigma Zeta Chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society, an associate member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, and a member of the Colorado Springs Police Protective Association. Rinder has received the Wounded Warrior Spouse Scholarship from Colorado Technical University twice (2012 and 2015) in recognition of her patriotism, as demonstrated by her commitment and sacrifice during two decades as a military spouse; and her advocacy for her combat-wounded husband. She has been a member of the Alumni Leadership Council since 2019. Rinder earned an AS in Humanities, Barstow Community College; AS in Social Science, Barstow Community College; BS in Criminal Justice, Excelsior College; MS in Criminal Justice, Colorado Technical University; Doctor of Management in Homeland Security, Colorado Technical University.
