Interview with Tracy Rager

In June 2015 and as part of the NCI’s Initiative for Women in Cybersecurity, (IWICS), Dr. Jane LeClair hosted Ms. Tracy Rager. Tracy is the Manager of Networks and Security for the Global Security Sciences Division at Argonne National Laboratory in Argonne, Illinois. She directs a team responsible for networking, server and application management, and user support. She is also Cyber Security representative for the division, participating in ANL teams that ensure the security of Lab systems. She is involved in strategic IT decision making at the laboratory level. Her 20+ year career at ANL has allowed for a myriad of IT experiences, including cyber security reviews and audits, both at ANL and for external customers, all flavors of OS management, numerous enterprise application installations and support, and data center resource allocation. She received her Masters of Information Technology degree from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Tracy also participates in the Argonne Running Club, and was recently a panelist at the Science Careers in Search of Women day, designed to introduce high school girls to the various careers available in computer science.
