Introduction to Microeconomics

The UExcel Introduction to Microeconomics examination is based on material typically taught in a one-semester, three-credit, lower-level introductory undergraduate course in microeconomics. The content of the examination corresponds with course offerings such as Principles of Microeconomics or Introduction to Microeconomics. The examination measures knowledge of facts and terminology, an understanding of forms, and for the ability to apply microeconomics concepts to market behavior, market structures, resource markets, and government issues and policies. No prior knowledge of economics is required for this examination. The exam assumes a familiarity with concepts covered in high-school level algebra. (Multiple-choice examination)

A practice exam is available for $35: To register for a practice exam, visit www.excelsior.edu and log into your MyExcelsior account. You must be registered for the corresponding credit-bearing exam first before you can register for the practice exam.
Register for the Exam
You can register and pay for your exam online. After you register, you will receive an Authorization to Test letter. You'll need to select the 8- or 15-week term in which you'll take your exam.
Pearson charges a test administration fee when you schedule your appointment to test. Additional fees apply for phone transactions (scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling). Visit the Pearson website for the current fee structure.
