This examination measures knowledge and understanding of material typically taught in a lower-level undergraduate course in Principles of Management. The content is drawn from that commonly included in courses with such titles as Introduction to Management, Business Organization and Management, or Fundamentals of Management. The examination tests for comprehension of fundamental management theories and the particulars of the manager s role in today s global business world. The examination measures knowledge and understanding of the following major themes: role of managers in the business environment, strategies for planning and decision making, organization and controls, leadership, motivation and staffing, and managing change.
