The Strategic Partnership and Alliances (SPA) team at Excelsior University is dedicated to cultivating purposeful collaborations through SPA with corporations, associations, government entities, academic institutions, and like minded organizations serving those seeking to complete a college degree, with an emphasis on those underrepresented in higher education.

Working closely with the Director of Business Development and others on the SPA team, the Partnership Specialist is responsible for growing enrollments and revenue, and building relationships with new partners by implementing strategic engagement and communication plans that builds relationships. Partnership Specialists are focused on engagements with new partners and students that leads to awareness of Excelsior and its products and services.

Fast paced environment with a desire for challenges and depth of knowledge across various industries is essential. The position requires daily, on camera meetings and some travel. Duties and Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with multiple Directors (Business Development, Partnership Development, Military Outreach), Business Development Manager, Business Development Specialists and other SPA members as well as other stakeholders (Marketing, Admissions, Advisors, etc.) at Excelsior College. Implementation and execution of marketing and strategic plan developed by Directors including but not limited to:
  • Account management supporting the needs of newly signed partnerships
  • Collaborate with Marketing to provide content for partners such as email campaigns, social media posts, videos for announcement of new partner and other content agreed upon by partner and Excelsior
  • Organizing and representing Excelsior at both virtual and face-to-face (f2f) outreach events such as education/benefits fairs, webinars, direct enrollment events as well as and other prospective student facing events
  • Working with prospective students through the inquiry funnel to admissions, ensuring recruitment of students that are a good fit for Excelsior
  • Preparing and presenting to individuals and groups via webinar format (on camera a must), about Excelsior College programs, products and services
  • Provide prospective students with initial transcript (high level) reviews of how credits may transfer to Excelsior
  • Engaging with partners and prospective students via social media, newsletters, direct mail, email campaign, and /or other communication vehicles as per Excelsior guidelines and best practices
  • Documenting partner and student activities through Salesforce CRM
  • Participating in prospective student call/text/email campaigns as necessary

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Strong account management skills.
  • Salesforce and sales experience are strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge and use of marketing tactics.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Sales experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a designated home office or in a designated office on campus to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and goals.
  • Ability to review/prepare accurate detailed documents and reports.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and willingness to learn new applications.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce a plus.
  • Ability to travel. Occasional weekend/evening hours and overnight travel.
