The Online Program Associate is responsible for project management, technology management, administrative, and support work. They will be competent in the use of software programs necessary for creating and revising online student resources and able to work within the Student Information System (SIS) and the Canvas Learning Management System. The Associate remains current and competent with software applications necessary for the performance of the job responsibilities and will seek additional training as necessary and available. The Online Course Associate is knowledgeable of the characteristics of adult learners and can communicate effectively with a diverse population in a respectful manner. The Online Program Associate communicates with stakeholders, both internal and external to the College to troubleshoot and correct any issues ensuring a positive student experience. The Associate is committed to providing quality student service and adheres to all Excelsior University policies and procedures. This is a full-time hybrid role with a minimum of two required days at Excelsior's home office of 7 Columbia Circle, Albany, NY, with the remainder of the days worked from home.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist students and faculty in solving problems related to the day-to-day operation/maintenance of their online courses. Work closely with faculty and online course managers and instructional designers to develop online learning resources. Assist and support with School of Nursing initiatives to improve student learning and access to learning resources. Process confidential and routine correspondence and reports as assigned Serve on college wide committees as assigned and work on various projects and tasks as assigned. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Minimum of 4 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent organizational skills, planning ability, attention to details, and initiative. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to interact effectively and cooperatively with team members, faculty, staff and students. Ability to manage multiple priorities and be accountable to established deadlines. Computer literacy and willingness to learn additional software applications. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
