Limitations on Concurrent Registrations Examination and Nursing Theory Examination
Statement of Policy
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that students do not register for an excessive number of UExcel®, Excelsior College® Examinations (ECEs), or Nursing Theory Conference Examinations (NTCX) at any one time since doing so may adversely affect their academic success.
Students (as defined by the Student Rights and Responsibilities policy) may be registered for no more than 4 UExcel or Excelsior College Examinations or Nursing Theory Conference Examinations concurrently at any one time.
Note: Matriculated students are encouraged to seek approval from an academic advisor prior to registering for an examination. See Maximum Credit Hour Policy: Undergraduate and Graduate.
The Student Information System (SIS) prevents enrolled undergraduate and/or graduate students and Excelsior College testing students from registering for more than 4 concurrent UExcel, ECE, Nursing Theory Conference Examinations, or MBA foundations examinations at any one time. This procedure will be enforced for all students.
Exception: On a case-by-case basis, this business rule may be overridden by Test Administration staff with prior approval from an academic advisor.
