CPNE® Cost And Payment
The CPNE is worth 8 academic credits and cost is based on per credit tuition rates at the time your CPNE application is submitted. Tuition and fees are subject to change without notice. View current fees.
Remember that, in addition to textbook expenses and learning resource services, you’re responsible for all expenses (travel, hotel, meals, etc.) required to attend your exam. These expenses are not reflected in your CPNE tuition.
Note: Repeating any Excelsior College source of credit, including the CPNE, will require you to pay all tuition and/or fees that are associated with repeating the requirement.
You have 3 payment options when you apply for the CPNE, including a 7– to 12–month payment plan through our vendor, Nelnet. Choose from these options:
- Pay in full using a credit card at the time of application
- Make 2–6 equal payments for a $25 set up fee
- Make 7–12 equal payments for a $40 set up fee
And there’s no $600 down payment required when using these payment plans—the entire CPNE tuition will now be divided into equal monthly payments.
Already have a Nelnet CPNE payment plan? You can extend the number of payments compared to your existing payment plan if desired. Contact our Bursar’s Office through the message center (Fiscal–FACTS Payment Plans) and request a new payment plan application for the CPNE.
THIRD PARTY PAYMENT
If a third party is covering all or part of your CPNE tuition, they must provide Excelsior with a purchase order or other document that facilitates billing. Such a document must include your name, Excelsior College ID number, the name and address of the third party organization/company, and the name of the contact person being invoiced. A paper application may be required. Send this to Excelsior’s Bursar’s Office by fax, email, or post:
Mail: Excelsior College Bursar’s Office (Attn: Third Party Billing) 7 Columbia Circle Albany, NY 12203
Once your third party billing is set up, you’ll be notified and can then submit your CPNE application online.
