
Samantha Seaman
Samantha Seaman, PhD, joined Excelsior University in 2016 as an adjunct faculty member. She earned both her bachelor’s degree and Master of Public Administration from the University of Arizona and later completed her doctorate in public policy and administration at Walden University in 2014. She teaches public service courses in Excelsior’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Following almost 28 years in federal law enforcement, Seaman retired from federal service in octubre 2023 after serving in agencies within the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security. She also spent five years teaching at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Brunswick, Georgia. Over the course of her career, Seaman served as a chief of staff in a field office where she oversaw congressional and media relations, and she concluded her career as an assistant field office director.
