Santarvis Brown, EdD, JD

Santarvis Brown, EdD, JD, is a professor of management and leadership at Excelsior University, where he teaches and mentors graduate and doctoral students in leadership, management, strategy, organizational behavior, entrepreneurship, and global business. He previously served as the chair of graduate business at Excelsior University, providing leadership in curriculum innovation, accreditation, assessment, faculty engagement, and academic program development.

In addition to Excelsior, Brown has taught and developed leaders at Cornell University, Florida International University, the University of Virginia, Charisma University, and Dickerson-Green Theological Seminary. As a lawyer with a Juris Doctor and expertise in educational law, governance, and compliance, he brings a distinctive interdisciplinary perspective to leadership and organizational transformation.

Brown’s broader leadership experience includes advising university leaders, governing boards, nonprofit executives, faith-based institutions, and public-sector organizations on strategy, governance, leadership development, institutional effectiveness, and transformational change. His contributions have earned national and international recognition, including being featured in Times Square through Nasdaq, named a distinguished professor at Charisma University, appointed a Distinguished Scholar Practitioner with the European Higher Education Institute, and selected as a Visiting Scholar with Rutgers University’s Graduate School of Education through the Samuel DeWitt Proctor Institute.
