Terri Lynch, MS ’25, BS ‘08

Terri L. Lynch of Burleson, Texas, is a human resources leader, veteran advocate, and retired U.S. Army Reserve sergeant with more than 33 years of military service and over 26 years in public service. She currently serves as the benefits and wellness administrator for the City of Burleson, where she leads employee and retiree benefits, wellness programming, and organizational compliance. Lynch is known for her ability to translate complex systems into people-centered support, guiding employees through some of the most important decisions of their careers.

Lynch’s municipal career spans the City of Burleson, Grand Prairie, Nampa, and more than two decades with the City of Arlington. Her experience includes civil service compliance, firefighter hiring and promotions, human resource information system and benefits administration, emergency management coordination, and high-trust administrative leadership across multiple departments.

During her military career, Lynch served in key roles including human resources sergeant at U.S. SOUTHCOM, emergency preparedness liaison officer during FEMA Region VI disaster response, and detachment sergeant for the 486th Civil Affairs Battalion, where she supervised and supported a detachment of more than 80 soldiers. Her early service as a legal non-commissioned officer strengthened her foundation in compliance, documentation, and personnel readiness.

Lynch is also a podcast host, station manager, and vice president for Military Broadcast Radio, where she amplifies veteran stories, highlights veteran-owned businesses and artists, and builds community through authentic conversation. Her work in media advocacy reflects her lifelong mission: to serve those who have served.

She holds a Master of Science in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies (summa cum laude) from Excelsior University, along with specialized training in emergency management and FEMA operations.
