Sobre Daniel Greenstein
Daniel Greenstein is chancellor emeritus of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, the state’s public university system serving around 90,000 students, and manager director at Baker Tilly, an advisory, tax and assurance firm. In his role at Baker Tilly, Greenstein leads initiatives that address the rapidly evolving needs of higher education institutions.
Greenstein has nearly 30 years’ experience strengthening universities as a bridge to opportunity for all students, deepening their community engagement, and fostering research excellence. He has a track record in design and implementation of innovative education and business models that improve student outcomes and sustain institutions financially in the face of potentially disruptive technological, economic, demographic, political, and other long-range trends.
Prior to serving as chancellor of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, Greenstein was director of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s postsecondary success strategy and vice provost for academic planning and programs for the University of California. He has also worked in higher education in Glasgow, Scotland, and London, England.
