Acerca de Khamel Abdulai
Khamel Abdulai serves as vice president of human resources at Excelsior University, where he provides strategic leadership for the institution’s human resources function, including talent management, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and workforce strategy. Since joining Excelsior in 2016, he has held several progressively responsible leadership roles spanning workforce development, learning and development, and human resources.
As a member of the University’s executive leadership team, Abdulai partners with institutional leaders to advance strategic priorities, cultivate a high-performing and inclusive workplace culture, and ensure that people strategies support the University’s mission and long-term goals. He is recognized for his collaborative leadership style, commitment to employee development, and expertise in leading organizational change and transformation initiatives.
Prior to joining Excelsior, Abdulai worked at Apple Inc. in progressively responsible roles, as a small business counselor at the Albany Center for Economic Success, and as part-time faculty at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York.
