Admissions Counselors

Linda Anagnostopulos Graduate Counselor

There is no better feeling in the world than to help another person achieve their goals and dreams in life. Working as a Graduate Admissions Counselor at Excelsior College gives me the opportunity to assist students who are interested in pursuing their goal of earning a Master's Degree. It's great coming to work each day knowing that I can make a difference in someone's life. That's probably why I've worked at Excelsior College for over 25 years. We help make the world better, one graduate at a time!

Colleen Bradley Graduate Counselor

As a proud graduate of Excelsior College I feel I have the history and experience to relate to the current Excelsior College student and can appreciate their determination. Like many, while raising two beautiful children, Excelsior Collage allowed me the opportunity to continue and finish my education. As a previous member of the US Army Reserves, it is very rewarding to work for a college that takes the needs of military students seriously and will work with them and their families to achieve their educational goals.

MacKenzie Burke Counselor

I enjoy helping students learn about how Excelsior College makes it easier for adult learners to earn a degree while managing their other priorities. The flexibility of our online courses and the option to earn credit by exam allows our students to tailor their experience to meet their needs. I love learning about the academic and professional experiences our students have already had and guiding them as they explore their options to complete their degree.

Marisa D'Aurizio Counselor

As a graduate of Excelsior College in 2013, I understand the importance of higher education and the hard work and dedication that comes with working full-time while trying to reach your educational goals. I am here to use my experience and passion to help those students that have the same dreams and are committed to fulfilling them. I believe that it is never too late for someone to pursue a degree and find no greater feeling than helping others accomplish their goals in life.

Amy DeSpirito Counselor

The experience I have gained working in NYS government has enabled me to transition into higher education and has fueled my passion to help others.

My belief is that you must always strive to better yourself and continuing your education is the most productive and powerful way to achieve that goal.

Having the courage to learn and taking that next step in your educational journey is essential in order to succeed. Working as an Admissions Counselor, I have the privilege to not only guide students on the right path that is best suited for them, but I am able to advocate for their future.

Emily Glasser Counselor

Our students are hard workers, dedicated and resilient. They work, take care of their families, serve in the military, overcome hard times, and they still find the time to pursue a degree. I have such admiration and respect for them. I have degrees in Social Work and Health Education, and the two things my degrees have taught me is to listen and provide students with the information they need to make the best decision for them. I would be honored to do that for you!

Valerie Hettie Counselor

I am most passionate about continuous learning. I believe that no matter what age you are, you should try to accumulate as much knowledge as possible. Excelsior College is right for you because our college allows you to balance your personal life, your career and simultaneously meet your educational objectives. I never thought I would be able to work full time and go to college. Excelsior College has provided me the flexibility to earn my Associates, Bachelors and Masters Degrees, all while working full time. Excelsior College's support throughout my experience was vital to my success and the learning experience was nothing short of excellent.

Mark Kelly Counselor

I am entering my fifteenth year working in higher education (Florida State University, The College of Saint Rose) and my tenth with Excelsior College and I love coming to work! Many of our students have limited experience with distance learning that often causes feelings of trepidation. I make a conscious effort everyday to ease these anxieties in whatever way that I can. You will not be alone! The collaborative efforts of our staff combined with the values expressed in our institution's mission truly make Excelsior College special.

Gregory Marcoux Counselor

John Meyer Counselor

The world is an ever-changing, ever-evolving place. In order to thrive in the world, we need to be able to grow along with it. Furthering one's education can be a major step toward thriving, and Excelsior College offers the kind of flexibility to keep this option to grow alive for so many that might not have otherwise thought possible. I am so proud to be able to say that I am a part of something that can help so many people further their education and hopefully, improve their current situations.

Roberto Morales Sr Graduate Counselor

Excelsior College is right for you because a college education should include the depth and expertise of your chosen subject matter or major, but more importantly, an Excelsior education will sharpen your skills in critical thinking and analysis, cross-cultural understanding, problem-solving and decision-making. Excelsior College does this and much more! I wouldn't work so hard to provide the best service possible if I did not believe in Excelsior College and the quality education we provide!

Kenneth Nguyen Counselor

Excelsior College believes in higher education for adult learners who desire an affordable and accessible degree. As an adult learner, earning a degree can be tough without the necessary tools and guidance to ensure student success. A leader in distant learning, Excelsior provides a plethora of resources to anyone seeking a degree with the hope of improving their lives. Through your efforts and our support, we will improve your critical thinking skills and be better equipped to overcome life's challenges.

Elise Pacitti Counselor

As an undergraduate student, I worked as a Student Ambassador in the Admissions Office at SUNY Potsdam while I earned my B.A. in Physics. Although I have a true passion for Physics, working in higher education has shown me that I have an even bigger passion for helping other people. I feel so lucky that I am able to help students enrich their lives with knowledge and reach their educational, personal and professional goals.

Dawn Petruccione Counselor

I feel like I can relate to the Excelsior College student. I was a Navy wife for almost ten years and moved a few times during that period making it difficult to begin something, knowing that I may not be there long enough to finish it. I am proud to work for a college that takes the needs of its military students seriously.

The typical Excelsior College student wears many hats, juggling family and work responsibilities and they are never idle in pursuit of their educational goals. I am happy that I can be here to assist students at Excelsior and hopefully bring along an understanding of what our student hope to accomplish.

Amber Tirado Counselor

I have been with Excelsior College nearly 10 years - I have earned my Associates Degree and a Bachelor's Degree, and am nearing the end of earning my MS Management, all here at Excelsior. As a student and a full time working mom, I can relate to the obstacles our students must overcome and speak to the rigor and excellence of obtaining a degree online. As your Admissions Counselor, I am here to provide you with the information you need and ensure a positive student journey experience.

Lalanda Moody Specialist

From a little girl I have always loved school. Summer vacations were not the highlight of my year, because I would rather be in the classroom learning something new. As an adult I realized that it wasn't necessarily school that I loved but learning and that you can make anyplace your classroom. Being able to help someone else benefit from that classroom we call life is a great passion of mine. I believe that if we know better, we do better and if we know more, we do more. As an Admissions Specialist, I desire to make a difference one day at a time.

My parents have always instilled the importance of having a solid education. I wanted to help individuals recognize their true potential through motivation and inspiration, and working in admissions has aided me in fulfilling those wishes. While working in higher education, I have learned it takes just one individual to assist in making a positive difference in someone's life. That person can be you.
