Excelsior University offers payment plans to help working adults fit education costs within a household budget. You can pay tuition and/or fees in monthly installments, rather than in a lump sum.
Payment plans are available through our on line, self-service processes. If a payment plan is available for your selection, it will be presented as a payment option during checkout.
Our payment plans vary in length depending on the service requested. They are interest free but do require a set-up fee.

The setup fee and first installment are processed at the time of the payment plan set up. The remaining payments will be processed on the date selected in your payment plan agreement. A schedule of payments is provided during the set-up process.
Our payment plan provider is Nelnet Business Solutions. Once you have established your payment plan, there are many self-service options through their portal regarding your payment plan information. You can access your Nelnet account and manage other Excelsior billing and payment activities from the Financial Aid & Bill Payment section of your MyExcelsior dashboard.
You can request one payment plan deferral per plan. Deferral requests should be made through your Excelsior University message center to our Student Accounting Office. Deferral requests must be made by noon 2 business days prior to your scheduled payment.
