Technology roles in nonprofit organizations, colleges, and universities are multifaceted and the lack of distinct career paths not only hinder professional preparedness, but also make career advancement difficult. There is a strong need for specialized courses to help chief information officers (CIOs) and to develop aspiring technology leaders.
The Center for Technology Leadership is focused on developing technology leaders through accessible and affordable education, networking, and advising.
Built on the research of founder Wayne Brown, experienced CIO and PhD in educational computing, the Center’s management team includes the nation’s leading practitioners on its advisory board. Together, they have designed courses to equip CIOs and newly appointed technology leaders with the skills they need for success.
These courses not only provide support for CIOs and aspiring technologists, but also offer advising and networking opportunities. Courses are open to both members and nonmembers.
Membership is open to nonprofit organizations, institutions of higher education as well as businesses and associations that support them. Membership includes access to research, Center publications, promotional opportunities, and more.
The Center for Technology Leadership with its distinguished advisory board is uniquely positioned to provide the training, resources, and support for current CIOs and technology leaders who are trying to find their way onto the CIO career path.
