Excelsior College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education , 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104. (267-284-5000). The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Meeting Higher Education Act Requirements

The Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA) requires all colleges participating in Federal Student Aid to disclose certain data about the college to current and future students.

Transparency at Excelsior

Excelsior College is the founder and a member of The Presidents' Forum, a consortium of colleges and universities that are regionally accredited, serve adult students, and provide education at a distance. Consortium members joined together in a project called Transparency by Design, which was intended to provide information that would help students make informed decisions about their educational investment. When the project concluded at the end of 2012, Excelsior College chose to continue providing data on important topics such as student and alumni satisfaction, student engagement, and the costs of degree programs.
