Anveeksh Koneru

Anveeksh Koneru, PhD, is a distinguished educator, researcher, and academic leader with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and more than nine years of teaching experience across mechanical engineering, electrical engineering technology, and freshman engineering. He earned his doctorate in mechanical engineering from West Virginia University in 2017 and later served as an assistant professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Texas Permian Basin through 2023, where he contributed to curriculum enhancement, laboratory development, materials research, K–12 workshops, and student mentoring. He joined Excelsior University in September 2023 and currently serves as the department chair of engineering technology.  
As department chair, Koneru oversees the BS in Electrical Engineering Technology, BS in Nuclear Engineering Technology, BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology, BPS in Technology Management, and AAS in Technical Studies programs. He leads efforts to maintain and strengthen ABET accreditation through outcomes assessment, continuous improvement of processes, and curriculum alignment to ensure academic quality and workforce relevance. His research interests include computational materials science, energy conversion technologies, sensors, and sustainable systems, and his work has been supported by external funding such as an American Nuclear Society faculty grant and a University of Texas System STARs grant. Through his leadership, teaching, and research, Koneru remains committed to advancing applied engineering education and preparing graduates to meet evolving industry and societal needs.
