Brian Pervis

Brian Pervis, DNP, MSN (N. Edu), APRN, FNP-C, AP-PMN, GERO-BC, PGMT-BC, WCC, is a family nurse practitioner and experienced leader in nursing education and health care. As the department chair at Excelsior University’s School of Nursing, Pervis oversees academic programs and fosters innovative approaches to nursing education.

His research interests include pain management, gerontology, and advancing equitable health care practices. Pervis is committed to integrating evidence-based practices into nursing education and improving outcomes for diverse patient populations. In 2025, he received the Advancing Health Equity Award from Doctors of Nursing Practice (DNPs) of Color for his achievements and contributions to the nursing profession and community.
