
Kristy Rowley
Kristy Rowley serves as the department chair in Excelsior University’s School of Nursing, bringing more than a decade of progressive leadership in nursing education. Her background spans faculty instruction, curriculum development, accreditation readiness, and program evaluation across multiple degree levels in nursing education. She is passionate about student success, instructional quality, and advancing clinical preparedness, particularly through curriculum innovation and technology integration. Rowley has been instrumental in strengthening National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) outcomes, aligning programs with national standards, and mentoring faculty in both face-to-face and distance learning environments. She is a program evaluator for the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) and is approved by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) to serve on the NCLEX Item Development Panel. These national roles reinforce her commitment to advancing excellence in nursing education.
